A major organisation had risk of mechanical damage to plugged in chargers mounted within a proprietary chair assembly.

 

A protective shroud was designed to fit over the chair assembly GPO outlets and provide mechanical protection to the plugged in charger. The design was also optimised to prevent obstruction with a seated person through the shape of the shroud. The plastic and colour of the shroud were selected to thematically match the rest of the chair assembly while retaining functionality.

 

The cover was a simple and cost effective solution, requiring no tools to fit and no changes to the existing chair assembly.
