ABS Material Summary

The popularity of ABS is due to its physical strength, fair chemical resistance and low shrinkage during the injection moulding process. It is also relatively cheap and can be injection moulded, vacuum formed and extruded. It is used in plastic furniture, toys, safety equipment and electrical components. Unmodified ABS is not UV stable but additives are available to increase UV stability.
